The Acai Berry Fruit Tree – Acai Berry Information Regarding Its Tremendous Benefits And Rapid Growth
The Acai Palm Tree
The Euterpe Oleracea, or Acai palm tree, is a tree that flourishes around the world in tropical climates, it is primarily found in the habitats of Brazil and some of the other Central and South American countries.. Brazil is the home of the Euterpe Oleracea (Acai Berry palm) most favorably and prevalently because of the fine swampy flood plains of the Amazon Basin. This productive tree grows to a height of nearly 100 ft. tall and harbors a bountiful supply of purplish black “nutritious nuggets” called the Acai Berry fruit.
Each tree may hold bunches that weigh up to 13 to 15 pounds each, and each tree may hold up to 50 pounds of fruit. Twice a year the acai fruit is harvested across the nations. Locals have known the secrets of the Acai’s health giving benefits for hundreds of years. The Acai is reported to make up about 40% of some people’s diets in this part of the world. Acai fruit actually contains 90% as the pit, which makes it that much more challenging to get the nutritious pulp out of the fruit and also the reason for the high price of acai berry supplements.
Acai Berry Health Benefits
The locals (Brazilians and other surrounding countries that grow the Acai in abundance) don’t pay too much attention to all the hype and inflated claims about the nutritious wonders of the Acai. This is because they pay more of their attention to eating acai berries and experiencing the true benefits of the acai. They say the proof is in the pudding, and the Brazilians just keep eating their “pudding”. At the same time as not watching the hyped-up and much ballyhooed flim-flam as an additive to weight loss supplements, neither do the people of the region give any heed to the naysayers on the other side of the fence.
The Brazilians and South and Central Americans have in large part already experienced the multitudes of blessings this now-famous fruit has bestowed upon their cultures. What do the peoples who live around the Acai Berry fruit use the Acai for? This could look like a funny question to be asked. It is not so much a “for” anything. You see, if you believe that your medicine is your food and your food is your medicine, it’s more of a question of staying and keeping healthy. We here in North America and other parts of the world may use the acai for so-called “corrections” in our health or as a remedy for something that is ailing us. But just as in Old China when the acupuncturists were paid to keep their patients well, and when the patient became sick they lost wages, so, too, is the Acai’s main use in the South and Central Americas—that is, to help keep someone and his or her body in optimal health. What a paradigm shift from where most of us come from. So to make a long story short, the “locals” use the Acai Berry for being healthy and for longevity. But, this is not to say that they don’t realize that it has medicinal uses, too. Because they have been surrounded by this Superfood for centuries, they have learned how to use it to their full advantage.
The Acai fruit is known to them to have an astringent property. They also use it to cleanse the blood. There are some other uses that they have utilized it for, but because they have not had to deal with all of the prevalent diseases of a society fully-bathed in excesses, they don’t think of it as being used for cancers, heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and the list goes on. So the search (not so much “re”search) goes on for what the Acai berry can be used for to reach its fullest potential as a Superfood. And the two cultures marry their uses for the magical Acai berry fruit because our lives are so very different while still being so very much the same.
